I have been fortunate to have travelled, by car, from one coast to the other across our amazing country. One of the things that blows me away in this trilogy are the detailed references to all parts of Canada, written by a New Zealander! I can’t fathom how Caulfield is able to capture the nuances of each part so well as to bring me back to those places in my mind. It was as though she was writing from my own memories, which was a bonus experience for me with this book.
